Becoming
a Member
Any person of good moral character, 18 years or older, who
is interested in the betterment of
the breeding, racing, and humane care of greyhounds, and who agrees
to abide by the by-laws of the Association, and the rules & regulations
promulgated by the Association, may apply for membership. Membership
shall not be denied because of race, color, creed, sex or national
origin.

Benefits
The TGA Member receives representation by the Association in all
matters that pertain to, Breeding, Whelping, Raising, Training, Racing
and the Post-Racing careers of Greyhounds in the State of Texas.
The Benefits of TGA representation are a State approved and professional
business atmosphere. Because of this professional approach to Greyhound
Ownership the TGA member is qualified for added financial benefits
when their "Texas Bred" Greyhound runs on Texas Pari-Mutual tracks.

Services

In
addition to all the financial benefits of membership, the TGA also
owns and maintains a professional grade track for training and research
of Racing Greyhounds. The TGA may act as an advisor in almost all
facets facets of Greyhound Ownership. The TGA maintains Legislative
contacts and represents TGA members in all State actions that deal
with the Greyhound Racing Industry in Texas.
